DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), is a naturally occurring chemical found in all living beings, including ourselves. This extraordinary compound serves as a gateway to states of consciousness that are ecstatic, blissful, and awakened. Through the power of breath and bodily movement and even stillness, we provide accessible pathways to tap into our own innate DMT release
At The DMT Force we hold a deep belief in the transformative potential of dance, music, Breathwork, and somatic practices and education. These modalities serve as direct channels to connect with the natural releases of DMT, dopamine, and serotonin, as well as the ability to alter our nervous system bringing us benefits such as stress response regulation, enhanced emotional resilience and many more. By engaging in these practices, we open ourselves to heightened and blissful states of consciousness. The experience leaves us feeling grounded, calm, and intimately connected to the mysteries of life. At the core of it all lies the breath—a simple act that unleashes the boundless potential within us.
Yes, through some breathwork techniques, you have the potential to induce altered states of consciousness and euphoric experience, sometimes referred to as getting "high on your own supply." These altered states are achieved by manipulating your breathing patterns, leading to changes in oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in your bloodstream which at the same time alters your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, enhancing the production of certain neurotransmitters. This can result in sensations of relaxation, expanded awareness and light-headedness, which some individuals describe as a "high", similar to altered states achieved through other means. Additionally, certain breathwork practices help activate the pineal gland or third eye, allowing you to reach elevated states of consciousness that could very much feel like a high.
